For the second time in a couple of weeks I got an e-mail from Badoo, a well-known on-line dating site. Both messages tell me that a friend has sent me something on my inbox.
Small problem, I am not a member of Badoo.
I fell on the trap for the first e-mail because it used an actual friend of mine who is on Badoo, but not the second since they used a complete stranger.
The purpose of both e-mails was simple, to get me to sign on with Badoo and eventually pay for premium services or at least fill my screen with annoying adds.
It is pretty impressive when non-warez/pr0n sites begin using social phishing. It means it is time to start taking security seriously.
